Each story collected and published through Seeds of Empowerment, a non-profit arm of XRI, Inc. 501C(3 ) organization, comes from a place where there are children with full of creativity, yet there is no means for them to write to the world or participate in the global creative content economy.Seeds of Empowerment collects creative stories through storytelling competitions in extremely underprivileged urban slums or remote rural villages in the developing world. The stories are selected, translated, and published. Any revenues generated from published stories are sent back to the child who won the competition. The goal of this program is to raise $30 a month for each child who won the story competition in a hope to pay for his or her school cost including textbook, uniform, and one meal a day. This particular story is from a Uganda refugee camp child and conveys the value to the true love.
