A series of brutal murders begin occurring in Portland, Oregon. The murders are so heinous that even seasoned cops are shocked and sickened. The victims are all young girls, and a pattern begins to develop. The pattern is mathematical in nature; Detective Jack Fry is a numbers man, a card-counter, and is the first to identify and blueprint this strange mosaic. The FBI sends out its top profiler who uses all the Bureau’s experience and equipment to put a face to the killer.
This serial killer remains ten steps ahead of the police and leaves not one trace of evidence behind. Law enforcement has never come up against a killer like this one. Ever. The pace picks up even faster after the killer finally makes one mistake. The story races to an explosive climax.
This is not a story to read alone late at night.
