I’m a migrant from the East Coast to California in the early 70s, who has loved sci-fi since first reading Edgar Rice Burroughs in childhood. My first experience with fiction was when I began writing short stories for my son in order to encourage his reading. I didn’t begin writing sci-fi novels until my later years. In college I was a student of psychology and philosophy. I’m a freethinker whose writing often reflects the tension between reason and dogma. Socrates is my hero, Kurt Vonnegut my favorite sci-fi author. To all my readers my primary admonition is: “Keep on thinking free.”
