The end of a thing is always greater than the beginning. At a young age coming from Africa into a new climate and country, I suffered at the hands of bullies primarily because my accent was different. I never knew it then but the series of events that occured in my life was a direct result of that bullying, the feeling of insecurity crept in and low self esteem. I desperately wanted to fit in, and be accepted by my peers but that wasn't always the case in my life. Prior to coming to the UK, life was not like that. I was a confident and popular young lady, who was a youth leader in my local church and community a much loved person by all never having to create a different identity all in the name of fitting in. I got up to some activities in secondary school I am not proud of, not making any excuses for them but everything that ensued in my life after the bullying started in primary school. Where done as a result of the new identity I created for the purpose of wanting to fit in.
