Alexander E. (Al) McQuilkin is not an idiot, but he has worked with dozens, if not hundreds, of idiots in his almost 35 year career. His witty, self-deprecating style, and unique perspective on management has garnered him much acclaim amongst his closest friends and family. Al’s education is in the field of mechanical engineering. He possesses no formal or “classroom” training in management principles, yet he has had a long, distinguished, and somewhat successful career as an admired and respected manager and leader. Of course, that’s just his opinion. Some of Al’s goals include seeing all his children graduate from College and find an alternate and permanent means of support. He would also like to earn enough money to hire a full-time Swedish - or Nordic - sun-loving housekeeper - preferably in her mid to late 20’s, but he’s flexible on that.
