Michael O. Tabor was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana. He has been interested in genealogy and family history for more than sixty years. His family roots go deep into the soil of Wayne County, West Virginia and Tazewell County in Southwest Virginia. He was a social studies teacher at the Hartford City (Indiana) Middle School and retired in the Spring of 2008, closing a teaching career which spanned forty-two years. In the years following his retirement, Mr. Tabor authored more than twelve books about the history of the Tabor family from Southeast Virginia and Wayne County, West Virginia. This collection is entitled the “Tabor Heritage Series.”
