I have always loved words, how they sound, what they mean, the feelings they give you and how we use them to express ourselves, articulate our thoughts and feelings and communicate with each other. Language is elemental. Words are powerful, they hold our dreams and most importantly they allow us to dream. This collection of prose poems explores scientific and artistic ways of seeing. Why prose poems? Because for me free verse allows my ideas to breathe and find their own rhythm. I write poems because science and art inspire me to find meaning in life behind the mundane. I am a New Zealander who has lived in Australia, South Africa, England (London for over 20 years) and I have travelled around India and Central America. I have used these experiences to help my writing.
