New Netherland Press NNP was started by Don Rittner is an author, environmentalist, producer, historian and archeologist. He has authored close to 40 books and over 1000 articles in science, history, computers and the Internet, publishing the first book to show the public how to use the Internet for a social cause (EcoLinking: Everyone’s Guide to Online Environmental Information) in 1992. He is the author of three encyclopedias in biology, chemistry and atmospheric science. He was the former Schenectady County & City Historian and also is the head of the NY Capital Film Community bringing in movie and television productions to the Capital District. By starting NNP he is helping to bring other authors to the forefront on important works that need to be published. He has published works so far with Robert Dirig, John Cryan, Justyna Kostek, and Richard Amper.
