About the Author The author’s professional life has taken him into Central Asia, Egypt and the Middle East as well as to many other countries and regions including Outback Australia, Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Italy (especially Sicily), Central Europe, Georgia, Central America and the Caribbean, South Africa and Mozambique and much of South East Asia. He has written three works of fiction and has won several European and Worldwide Awards for his work in other fields. As an observer of the human condition, his early professional life working in Australia’s Outback on projects supported by American know-how has shown him first-hand the combined influences of The Outback and ‘taking the Mickey’. His travels have also given him opportunities to experience the other-worldliness of many developing countries, especially those that have suffered war and natural disasters
