A Novel Experiment

Explicit Content
This book is the result of a writing experiment by the h2g2 Post. Each volunteer accepted the role of a citizen of Hooverville, a highly fictional town somewhere in western Pennsylvania, not too far from Punxsutawney. Like Punxsy itself, Hooverville is a magical place, where the two loudest sounds to be heard are the organ in the First Church of Nighthoover and Fireman Fred's fire siren. In the nearby Misty Mountains State Park, ranger Wynken de Woordesmyth keeps finding species that are unknown in the rest of Pennsylvania, or indeed, anywhere on Earth. The action, such as it is, takes place over a period of 30 hours, beginning at midnight on 1 November. Going in, none of us knows what will happen – not even the cats, of which it appears we have quite a few. These are our stories.
