After several readings and much contemplation, I shall agree with the author's comment, "this work can only be a Poem". It begins with a full-throttle build-up to a killer line, "whoever I is", and careens of the page in a noble attempt to steer us toward the answer to that very question. Particularly amusing is 'The Story of Carousing'. One must resist the urge to read through this too fast; gotta stop for a breath, let it digest. Artemis is forking some heavy stuff on our plates here. Hey, any book that pays homage to Hunter S. Thompson and snubs McWalMart society is well worth the cost of a download. Artemis is definitely a literary force to be reckoned with. Great to see weird winds (and words) whipping in the eastern regions of Kentucky. In the words of my late-great buddy Hunter, "Buy the ticket, take the ride". Chad M. Horn, author of 'Eclipse of Crows' and 'Circulate or Congeal'
