The Beef

This book represents work done to fulfill the thesis requirements for a Master of Architecture degree from the Newschool of Architecture & Design in San Diego, CA. The efforts contained herein represent a potential alternative way to raise cattle beef for human consumption and reflect the growing concern for the wellbeing of the planet earth, which is stricken by booming urban populations, climate change, and the finite amount of resources available to human beings on this planet. This book is not intended as a solution, but rather, an alternative way to philosphically approach our growing cities. This approach includes local food production, urban infill and adaptive re-use, and urban indoor agriculture.
