Sanctuary: A Cootes Paradise Writers Anthology, is a collection of poetry and short prose compiled by Cootes Paradise Writers, a writing group based in Hamilton, Ontario. This inaugural issue of the publication showcases the work of emerging and established writers, within and outside of the writing group, and is a celebration of the power of the written word to foster imagination and explore human nature. We acknowledge the unique ability of literature to provide a sanctuary for individuals who wish to express themselves and to understand the diverse life experiences of others.
