Princess Christabel, Sir Accaron, and Omalden the magician don't have a lot in common. But they all know one thing - something is wrong with the kingdom of Marivere. But when they embark on a quest to free the kingdom from its all-too-predictable state of being, they must face a dangerously self-conscious dragon, decaying magic, a seductive werewolf, the Forces of Evil - and the villainous magician who will do anything to make them fail. In the tradition of Terry Pratchett and Tamora Pierce, "Powers Let Be" is a fast-paced tale of adventure and humor.

"Just read the preview, but..." This is really rather good stuff! Very much in the style of Terry Pratchett, but -- and this is actually meant as a huge compliment -- it could actually be Terry Pratchett. In that the humour is real, it isn't forced, and even in a single page it does make you laugh several times. Already the story is set up to intrigue, there is an undercurrent of menace underneath all the frivolity, and you get the feeling that you're embarking on a story that will be full of juicy fruitcakes. Best of all - and this is a not terribly common phenomenon - it's actually well written.
"One of the best books ever!" This is by far one of the greatest books I have ever read. It is witty and I actually laughed out loud through out the book. I recommend this book!!!!!!
