The 21 man balances on the edge of insanity. Trapped in a world of espionage and intrigue his psychosis grows. Scarred by his past and torn by his present distorted perceptions of reality, he suffers from a rare genetic disorder, synesthesia.
Sounds are seen as colours, and have taste and memories attached to them. Voices speak in his mind, yet he must fulfill the expectations of his superiors, even though mentally he skis a razor’s edge.
Someone or something is hunting him.
Death can come at any moment striking as a bloody full stop to life’s sentence… as it does to those he loves. A journey through the shadow world of altered reality.
Nothing is what it seems… not time, not space, nor what passes for actuality…
I read Devil's Tarot and it blew my mind- like an express train through my local station. The writing certainly creates pictures in the cave of your mind. It skilfuly sketches the scenes and our individual minds color them in. I am a prolific reader and there is no one out there who writes with such unique clarity and fast pace. His words remind me of only one other writer, William Shakespeare. The poetry on the back cover is heartbreakingly moving. Every sentence written has meaning and wherever and whatever page you read, you are there watching as our ancestors were, watching so long ago as the shaman painted on the cave walls. Since reading it I have become very interested in the Kennedy assassination. I predict that this book will eventually have a huge cult following.I laughed, was saddened and yet exhilarated. The depth and flow of the writing is almost unbelievable; irony, pathos, cruelty, inhumanity, love, remorse, humor, sensuality...his characters are so real! I could see them,I... More > know them. They must be out there somewhere. Maybe they're real? I must read it again. Thank you!!!< Less
