web2py is what Django and Ruby on Rails wish they were. It's free (as in beer and freedom), incredibly well-conceived, vigorously updated by a dynamic and kindly team lead by Massimo Di Perro, and so concise you can do a complete database-backed website in under a dozen lines of code. This book covers web2py nicely and includes a wonderfully concise summary of Python for programmers. web2py rocks and this book is a bargain.
