The fourth printing! Swords & Wizardry is an ENNie Award-winning “retro-clone” of the original fantasy roleplaying game created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. The Core Rules also contain some selected material from the supplements (1974-1978). With a thriving internet community and tons of support products, Swords & Wizardry is bringing back a lost style of fantasy roleplaying. Forget huge rulebooks - this book and imagination (and dice) are all you need! If you can imagine it, you can do it in Swords & Wizardry. The rules are simple and quick to learn, and they are infinitely flexible and expandable. Take the basic framework and “Imagine the hell out of it!”

ive been searching for this rule set for years now, it brings back a lot of memories from way back in 1979-1985, this is by far the best RPG and so free form unlike todays RPG market, love for some adventure books coming shortly, just like the good old days!

A attempt to copy the original dungeons and dragons game, easier to read and understand than the original three brown books. Somethings are radically changed and simplified like saving throws for example which i don't like. However you down load this book as a word document from the authors web site and add your own house rules which is what i have done

"S&W Core" I've fallen in love with this game. I do not see it as much as a clone of OD&D but as the second edition that never was. The new mechanics make the game that much simpler to run and is easily compatible with OD&D. An added bonus is that S&W is great for new gamers and younger players as well as those who want the play the older system. Get this book as it is the best 'clone' game on the market.
