American Composer/pianist Michael Guy L'Ecluse also composes chamber and symphonic music with a jazz influence. Try his new quartet subtitled "S.Q. Blue" This 3 movement quartet adds to the beautifully baroque/classical theme of the slow Largamente of the middle movement by ending the quartet with a wonderfully up-tempo and up-beat finale that was actually based on one of his best received jazz piano charts from his 1984 piano solo tour. It gives a very exciting finish to the quartet and should be a crowd pleaser. SQ Blue an eclectic fusion in 3 large movements. A very "jazz blues" influence, Celtic flavored with shades of a Bartok influence in movement #1. This is a full-size study score (8.5x11)for performing groups to peruse the whole quartet.
