"Helpful resource!" This book is helpful even if just for the wonderful ideas of which units to study (sixty of them!). The actual units are not overly comprehensive; they are not designed to be your whole curriculum, but each generally includes a brief overview, basic vocabulary list, Scripture references, suggested resources, websites, and other notes. I liked that I could use the author's timeline to cover all the materials if I needed the structure, or I could use the units in my own order or as a springboard into our own unit study approach. The lists and reproducibles in back are nice - lists of musicians and artists by style and time period, basic Greek and Latin roots, and lots more. Plus a variety of worksheet-style forms to design your own - for those with kids who like the sequential/visual security of a worksheet to use in the unit. A lot of stuff for the price.
