This marks the first of hopefully many issues of Special Projects as a publication showcasing the work of photography students working on a common (elected) theme over a semester’s time. The class is PHO 2453 Special Projects Digital Photography at Oakland Community College, Royal Oak, Michigan.<br />

So how does one interpret identity visually? In this book the students explore many different views such as the fractured or multi-faceted character, the identity of a place, and the identity of architectural elements as revealed in the details.
