This book provides a solid mathematical background for engineers, especially those working in telecommunications. Although it was originally written for officers in the U.S. Army's Telecommunications Systems Engineering Course (FA 24 TSEC) at Fort Gordon, Georgia, the broad and eclectic range of material and fully-explained exercises will make it a useful text not only for engineers but for anyone wanting to sharpen their mathematical skills or increase their knowledge.
