Containerised forest nurseries

This manual arose out of some twenty years visiting, advising and learning from nursery managers. Over this period, general adoption of root-pruning methods in containerised seedling propagation allowed this technique to become a major feature in mainstream plantation forestry. Firstly with copper-based products and subsequently the development of side-slot air-pruning concepts. Warrick has distilled the most important aspects needing to be understood by the nursery manager. He suggests aspects to be considered and others safely ignored. He does this without being prescriptive, thus this manual will be useful in many climates and nursery systems.
