About
Andrew Kenner
Dr. Kenner is a retired academic who has studied and enjoyed historical fencing for the last 15 years. He has an ongoing interest in the fencing style described in the early 14th century Manuscript Royal Armouries I.33. He has been teaching aspects of it to various historical fencing groups around Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Kenner is a Guildmaster with the Lochac Royal Guild of Defence, an historical fencing group that has members in most major cities in Australia and New Zealand. The Guild is dedicated to exploring European historical fencing techniques and teaching and demonstrating these to its members and the general public. Dr. Kenner's I.33 manuals are designed to explain this 14th century sword and buckler fencing style in a way that will allow you to develop your own fencing skills. They contain many illustrative photographs and a series of graded exercises.
