Ilona Benzel worked with animal rescues to save/foster homeless dogs and cats, volunteered for over 30 years at local shelters and lived with a pack of seven German shepehrds. She wrote two horror novels, a book about a litter of puppies and a novel from an animal control officer (PK Foster) with 3 more books potentially in the future depending on sales of "Lion, Elephants & Bears."
