Jun-Nicole Matsushita, MA, CD (CBI), is a Certified Labor Doula and owner of Bamboo Birth Services. She moved to Beaverton, Oregon, in 2014 with her husband and two sons, both born without intervention at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Matsushita's mission is to serve the birth community as an informational resource through her book Birth Movement, her website, speaking opportunities and workshops. Ultimately, she wishes to help more families experience positive, comfortable, safe, no-to-low intervention births in the hospital. As an educator she wishes to teach birth workers how to support families in their efforts to use movement and birth tools in the hospital setting.
