The author and photographer, Dòwòti Désir, is Her Majesty Queen Mother of the Royal Palace of Dada Daagbo Hounon Houna II of Ouida, Benin. Based in West Africa and the USA, she is a human rights activist, educator, curator, and educator who monitors memorials, monuments and historic sites related to the Maafa of the TransAtlatnic, and other places of captivity for African descendants. She travels extensively and lectures on cultural and human rights, public art, contemporary art, and traditional African based spiritual systems. The Founder of The AfroAtlantic Theologies & Treaties Insitute is a high priest, that is, a Manbo Asogwe in Haitian Vodou, and is the Ambassador of the Grand Council of Vodou.
