John Hamer lives in a small Pennine village in rural Yorkshire, England with his wife, one of his sons, no dogs, no cats and an occasional mouse. He has been married to Linda for 29 years and has four grown-up sons and four granddaughters. Sadly, he frittered away most of the best years of his life by selling his body and soul to the corporate world, but has latterly seen both ‘the light’ and the error of his ways and now lives mostly on his wits. This is his second book - the first, ‘Roots Detective’ was a ‘how to’ book on the subject of setting-up and running a family history-tracing business, which was moderately successful. There is currently a third, fomenting quietly somewhere in the murky depths of his imagination.
