About
Julia Hawkes-Moore

Julia Hawkes-Moore was born near the ruins of Walsingham Abbey in Norfolk, and grew up in the Herefordshire countryside around the Welsh Marches. Both places inspired in her a deep fascination with folk history and myth. After training as an Architect in Liverpool, she went on to run a London restaurant and to teach metalwork and woodwork in Suffolk, before writing novels and running folk festivals in Saffron Walden. Then her cosy world unexpectedly fell apart, and she moved back to Herefordshire with her sons Gabriel and Barnaby. In Second Life Julia, as Ainee Kohime, became a noted and respected designer of virtual architecture and antiques. She divorced, survived the internet dating experience, re-marriage, disaster and sudden widowhood. She is now putting her life back together in a most satisfactory way… ‘Dancing in Circles’ was Julia’s first novel. ‘The Chocolate Ghost’ has also been published in an anthology by the Oxford University Press, and translated into Czech.
