Melody Mills was born in Brooklyn, New York to a multicultural family that has nurtured her in unconditional love and support. She was blessed with various opportunities to travel, study, and volunteer abroad in Spain, Ghana, and Peru. Upon finishing her BA in Psychology and Political Science at Macaulay Honors at Baruch College, Melody received a Fulbright Research Grant to return to Lima, Peru to research the reinsertion of girls in street situations. Throughout the project, some girls suggested creating a book of their experiences to share to the world and that is exactly what they did. Read and Discover the lives and perspectives of various girls that were once labeled "street girls" and their advice and point of view on life and how to keep moving forward in faith.
