The author, Michael Wood served in the U.S. Navy as a SEAL and Frogman for 34 years including combat tours in Vietnam, DESERT STORM and support role in Somalia. His career takes him from the enlisted ranks as a point man in a SEAL Team One platoon, a sea lion trainer in Project Quick Find, and later as a military photojournalist. He continued his career as a Naval Officer after completing Officer Candidate School. His Naval Officer career continued as an Assistant Platoon CDR in a UDT-12 platoon, a Phase Officer at Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training, a Dry Deck ShelterPlatoon CDR at SDVT-1, SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) Platoon CDR and later as SDVT-1 Detachment HI Officer in Charge.
