...puffins live on the ocean for 10 months of the year and only come to shore... More > when they're ready to nest
...puffins burrow into the side of cliffs to create their nests, and have seperate compartments for nesting and defecating
...puffins fly, but they can swim under water well too and can stay under water for one minute or more
...puffins have a 20 year life expectancy. They spend 3 years on the ocean, and then come into shore to mate. Puffins mate for life.
