Aimee first saw the 2004 movie version of Gaston Leroux's novel (book/stage play written by Andrew Lloyd Webber - starring Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, and Patrick Wilson) in 2009. This was followed by a trip to The Strip to see the Las Vegas play at The Venetian in Oct. of 2009 (with Anthony Crivello in the title role, Kristi Holden, and Andrew Ragone). Aimee also attended the final performance of the Las Vegas production on Sept. 2, 2012. That same year the Blu-ray Disc of the 25th anniversary celebration at Royal Albert Hall was released with Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom), Sierra Boggess (Christine), and Hadley Fraser (Raoul). The last live performance Aimee attended was back east on Broadway in NY City in July of 2013 (with Peter Joback the "Swedish" Phantom, Mary Michael Patterson, and Kyle Barisich). However, it was the cast of the 2004 movie that truly moved her to write this story. If you are a fan of Raoul rather than the Phantom winning Christine then this story is for you!
