This booklet provides a sneak preview of part one of Anton's latest book, in which he describes the symbols of alchemy as representations of the path to illumination, a mind state where one frees oneself of the false desires born of illusion.
This work covers the origins, meanings and variations of some of alchemy and the occults most popular and enduring symbols, including the ouroborus, the caduceus, the cosmic egg, the androgyne, the rainbow, the pentagram and the hexagram, and the relationship of all these symbols to the serpent.
About Anton Channing
A founding member of the KIA Illuminated Adepts, and maintainer of their website, Anton's first book, Kaos Hieroglyphica: Alchemy for the New Aeon, published by Mandrake of Oxford, which explored the alchemical roots of the modern occult movement of Chaos Magic.
More recently Anton has concentrated his study on the worlds various alchemical traditions, including Hermeticism, Taoism, Tantra, as well as Buddhist and Hindu forms of alchemy and related mystical traditions from around the world. His latest book, Chemical Serpents, a limited edition preview of which is currently available here on lulu, builds on this alchemical study and work.
