April Labbe aka Snack Queen runs a successful business in London making American style salsa dips. A hostess by nature, she says "at some point having a dinner party got complicated". She herself is vegetarian and has close friends who are lactose intolerant, vegans, have food allergies or are eating a gluten free diet for one reason or another. She says the cookbook just grew organically out of that and the "anxiety from hosts when presented with someone who doesn't eat everything". These are her tried and true recipes, "just a collection of what we make and eat and serve in their various incarnations". This is simple, home cooking from different corners of the world with some great short cuts. They really are easily adaptable to whoever is coming for dinner while still managing to hit the spot for the old school meat eater.
