Born and raised in the northern community of Cochrane, Ardis made a name for herself at an early age. She competed in singing competitions, concerts, and various musicals. She began to volunteer at many local organizations. During this time she wrote, and after some time she began to write for Cochrane's Local newspaper "the cochrane times-post". These are some of her works, most of which were completed when she was attending high school in Cochrane.
