More > literature. Each level of this program has three lessons per week for thirty-six weeks, for a total of 108 lessons per year. Each lesson includes copywork, a literature selection to be read aloud, a poem, and an Aesop's fable. Copywork selections are from the literature, the Bible, poems, and maxims. Each week includes a narration or a picture study. Literature selections include beloved children's classics such as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, and The Wind in the Willows. This Spelling Journal contains space to write and analyze words according to spelling rules or phonograms. Included in the file is both a primary grade and a wide rule version of the Spelling... More > Journal. The file also contains a set of 74 phonogram flashcards to cut out as well as a reference sheet to print with all 74 phonograms with examples to be printed on one side and the 30 spelling rules to be printed on the other side. There are also a dozen different covers to choose from at the end of the file. This journal could be used with a spelling program, but it can also be used with Charlotte Mason style prepared dictation. It provides a space to analyze words before dictation and makes identifying problem areas a snap.< Less
