Lyn raised her son Joshua as a vegetarian, and decided to become vegan 10 years ago. Josh is now 17, at six foot-two inches, and is extremely active. He was key in developing every recipe because of his wonderful knack for flavours. They sort of fell into writing their first book as they began scribbling down how to make their favourite dishes on scraps of paper, and then gradually gathered them all up into a binder. Lyn was trained as a painter, graduating with honours from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and then earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She treats her dishes as she would a canvas, playing with colour and shape. Food has always been a passion for Lyn, but even more so is her need to create positive change in the world, by spreading an understanding that small changes can make a big difference. "We eat three times a day. What will we choose?". They love to travel, but currently live in Toronto, Canada.
