Dr. Bill East is a construction management researcher who has made contributions to project scheduling, quality management, and building informatics. The innovations created by Dr. East’s have stood the test of time becoming national and international standards. Bill has been awarded the American Society of Civil Engineer’s Government Civil Engineer of the Year award as well as awards from FIATECH, CSI, NIBS, and buldingSMART international. Today, Bill is best known as the inventor of the COBie standard. Bill helps owners and project teams implement COBie through his consultancy Prairie Sky Consulting. In addition, Bill is Director of the premier COBie on-line educational resource, the COBie Academy, hosted by the University of Florida.
