The author of this book is Margie Wood. Born Marguerite Ann Foy in 1912 to Edgar and Johanna Foy in Iliff, Colorado, Margie was raised on the 160 acre homestead. She graduated from Crook High School in 1929, married Harvey Wood in 1933 and three children were born. Later in life, Margie began documenting the remarkable story of her parents, with incredible detail. Her unpublished book was handed down to her grandson, Brian Sanders, who was raised on stories of the famous and infamous family history. He transcribed the typed pages, enhanced the format, photos into what you see now, but left the content of the book in her original words.
