The study of languages has been a lifelong avocation of mine, concentrated in the Romance languages. Since I've lived in Peru for the past 12 years, I suppose I am most proficient in Spanish, but it is not the one closest to my heart. I've been a student of Italian since I was a teenager, and without this tool I would never have been able to learn the language that has taken first place in my priorities. Listening to Neapolitan songs, purported to be Italian songs, it was immediately evident that they were different. Surprisingly, this was a language even more passionate and more expressive than Italian, but the only material I could find on it was written in Italian. I am trying to remedy that situation with this grammar and dictionary. This new volume of Neapolitan verbs should be beneficial to anyone interested in Neapolitan, even if that person already speaks Neapolitan.
