Carl Davidson is a Writer, Editor, Public Speaker and Political Activist,
Currently he is a a field organizer and national co-chair of Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism and board member of the Solidarity Economy Network
Davidson was a founder of Networking for Democracy, a Chicago-based group of grassroots activists working two decades around the digital divide and other issues raised by the impact of technology on society. He taught computer repair to low-income women, prisoners, ex-offenders, and inner city youth in community technology centers, high schools and after-school programs. In the 1960s, he was a national leader of the student new left.
Today he lives near Pittsburgh, PA, works as an advocate for worker-owned cooperatives, and is a member of Steelworkers Associates. He writes for the USW blog.
