After years of raising my own two teens, 18 years experience in Secondary Education, my daily journal has become Pick and Choose Your Battles! It is my belief that communication, listening and body language skills are not only the most important but most often the most overlooked skills to hold. My knowledge comes form experiences (of what worked and what didn't work) raising my own teens and myself being an educator. I possess a B.A. in Psychology as I have always been interested in the human condition, specifically, teenagers. I feel that teens are one of the most overlooked age groups in society. Some people are dismissive of teens and don't bother to make the effort to understand them. My hope is that both parents and teens will be able to open the once closed lines of communication. Families will being to actively listen to each other and be fully aware of the body language we both send out (as parents) and receive from our teens. Mutual understanding!! I wish you all success
