I was born in Jasper, Alabama on October 18, 1948 to Edith Estes Handley and Joe Handley Jr. I am the oldest of five children. I went to Union Chapel Junior High School and graduated from Walker County High School in 1967. I married Charles Lewis Beckman in 1968 and was married for 39 years. We had one child, "Chuck" Charles Lewis Beckman Jr. I married again in 2008 to Daryl Brittain-Dissont and now have three wonderful step-children that I am very proud of and six precious step-grandchildren that I am also very proud of. I am very blessed. I am now back living in my home town, Jasper Alabama, where I was born and raised. I love to read and doing anything creative. I believe in God and Jesus Christ is my Savior.
