Marla Fair hales from a small historic town in Southwest Ohio, where her roots go back over 160 years. After studying art and history at two Ohio colleges, she chose to use her talents to help her husband establish and operate an independent gift store and design firm. As the store became successful, Marla moved on to pursue her own interests in history, art, antique dolls, and writing. She is a colored pencil instructor and artist, has independently published eight historical novels and one fantasy trilogy, restores antique and collectible dolls, and is an historic interpreter currently employed by the Ohio History Connection.
Marla is married to David Fair. The couple have one daughter, Demelza, and one granddaughter, Leah. They own and operate David Fair on the Square in the beautiful historic town of Troy, OH.
