Editorial A Contracorriente, associated with the refereed on-line journal A Contracorriente, publishes refereed books on Latin American studies in Spanish or English. We are a non-profit press that publishes single author monographs and edited volumes that address political, sociological, literary, historical, economic and cultural issues from innovative, left-wing critical points of view. As the name of the press indicates, we publish rigorous and solid works that question the prevailing trends in those fields.

Since Editorial A Contracorriente is non-profit we sell our books-on-demand at the price it costs to produce them. There are no royalties for authors nor are there profits for the press. We are able to accomplish this via Lulu.com. Once the manuscripts have been read by readers and approved for final publication, we send a pdf version of the manuscript, front cover and back cover to Lulu.com, which then takes care of printing and publication.
