I grew up in Bristol, the city of Blackbeard and Treasure Island. But like most pirates worth their salt, I soon set sail for new adventures. I had 3 years of sweat, tears and wonderful wordplay at Bath Spa University, studying Creative Writing and now you will find me on the other side of the world, in a children's library in New Zealand. So now I work with children's books, I read children's books and I write children's books! The first of my Heavyweather Adventures is called Stormy Seas on Dry Land - a swirling whirlpool of Bristolian pirate heritage and the tempestuous trials of childhood.
