Patrick is a full-time professional writer. His most recent qualification is a Masters of Creative Arts (Creative Writing). Long ago, he also did a BA (Honours) in Philosophy, hence the philosophical bent of some of his work. Patrick likes to write in different forms, but his main focus is on the contemporary literary novel. He enjoys reading Australian literature- check out Brian Castro, Gail Jones, Nick Jose and Merlinda Bobis for starters, they tell a good story in a great way. He also loves contemporary American writing such as William Gass and Thomas Pynchon, the things they are doing with language! His current project is a verse collection of short stories, written in ottava rima a la The Adventures of Don Juan. It's called Mostly Friday Nights. Email him for a sample.
