Gill started work whilst still sitting O levels, to fulfil her childhood dream of becoming a riding instructor. She later explored a variety of careers including van driving, accountancy and steel fixing, before settling in 1998 on her current work as management trainer, team building facilitator, mediator and coach. She works mainly with organisations but has a small private practice too.
Over the years several of Gill's short stories, articles and poems have appeared in national publications, from Bella and Woman to Resurgence and BBC Wildlife Magazine,as well as trade journals.
She is a passionate advocate and lifelong student of deep ecology (the interconnectedness of life on earth), and is currently exploring the theme of vocation in this context.
Gill and her partner Peter take great pleasure in their wildlife-rich Wiltshire garden. In the summer she travels around the UK running workshops on ecological living, and in the winter she dreams about moving to the Ariege.
