Creativity is a large part of my life. Everything I do influences my creative world and vice-versa. I find that much of what I write is influenced by science, nature and natural history. Over time, I’ve learned to appreciate how these elements affect humanity and often find myself in awe of how we, as an unwilling part of nature respond to natural influences. Conversely, I find myself at times ill at ease yet inspired by how the natural world responds to human influence.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University and a Masters in Criminal Justice from University of Cincinnati. I’ve fronted several music groups as vocalist, pianist, woodwind and ethnic instrumentalist. I’ve collaborated and cut two albums: Three in the Hand of a Concrete Leaf and Another Day of Night.

I have since moved on to focus on my own writing and studio work.
