Hugh Eckert is a Northern Virginia native, and has lived in the Potomac River watershed all of his life (except for vacations). He's been writing poetry for over thirty years; he also occasionally writes fiction and live-action role-playing games. He's an amateur occultist and armchair archaeologist, with a deep interest in myth, folklore, and the odder side of history. He lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, two cats, and two dogs in a small house that is apparently mostly made of books and looks like a flea market with pet hair.
